In the MG Challenge Race at Silverstone during MG Live the MCR prepared cars took Class pole and 2nd and 2nd and 3rd on the overall grid ahead of many class A cars. The MG Midget will look familiar to most people, despite the car running a Midland Classic Restorations produced Sebring Sprite one piece bonnet and front end.  but the Lenham uses a different bonnet and a fastback roof and rear bodywork giving it a very different look.   Both cars use an MCR built race engine and this weekend were run by Midland Classic Restorations...

Its been a busy couple of weeks in the workshop, thats been rewarded with some great success. At Brands hatch on the Bank Holiday Weekend we were running Andy and Chris Southcott a very fast father and son pairing. Whilst the weather still seems cold the 2015 season is in full swing, with the workshop full of cars being prepared for their drivers, The MCR team have already been out supporting drivers testing and racing. Whilst many of the cars we work on here at Midland Classic were built before  the information superhighway, we’re not afraid of new technology, and have just fitted a race technology Digital Dashboard into the retro looking Modsports Mg Midget. The dash is connected to both the ECU and the data logger to display engine and performance parameters, including live predictive laptime indicators  on one side and shift lights on the others.
